Prof. Noriaki Kano Prof. Kano is a luminary in the field of Quality Management with over 250 papers and nearly 40 books and videos to his credit. His model of Attractive Quality is widely used around the world. Prof. Kano is a recipient of the Individual Deming Prize and is a six - time recipient of the Nikkei Quality Control literature prize. Prof. Kano has been awarded the Jack Lancaster medal from the American Society for Quality, in recognition of his contribution to the global quality effort. He is the current chairman of the Deming Application Prize sub-committee. He is also Corporate Auditor of Sekisui Chemicals. |

Prof. Hitoshi Kume Prof. Hitoshi Kume, Prof. Emeritus of the University of Tokyo, is internationally recognized for his contribution to the theory and application of Quality Management for over 35 years. Prof. Kume is a recipient of the Individual Deming Prize. He has been the Chairman of the Deming Application Prize sub-committee and the President of the Japanese Society for Quality Control. He has published numerous books and written hundreds of papers. His books Statistical Methods for Quality Improvement and Management by Quality are widely used around the world. |

Dr R A Mashelkar Dr. R. A. Mashelkar is Director General of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and an elected Fellow of the Royal Society. He is Chairman of the Quality Council of India. As Chairman of the Standing Committee on Information Technology of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), and as member of the International Intellectual Property Rights Commission, he has brought many new perspectives on the issue of IPR and developing world concerns Dr Mashelkar is the recipient of the Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan, two of the highest civilian honours in India. |

Dr V Krishnamurthy Dr. Krishnamurthy is recognized as one of the most successful managers of Indian Business Organisations. The Government of India has recognized his contribution to Indian industry with the high civilian honours of Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan. He has been the Chairman & Managing Director of three of the most prominent public sector companies viz. Maruti Udyog, Steel Authority of India and Bharat Heavy Electricals. He graduated from the School of Engineering at the University of Tokyo. He was with Toshiba for ten years until joining Sanden. He worked on a variety of engineering research and management in manufacturing projects. He was President of the Vendo Company , a subsidiary of Sanden, in US. |

| Mr. Kwang Ro Kim President, LG Electronics India Pvt. Ltd Kwang Ro Kim is President of LG Electronics (LGE) in India. He received his B.A degree in Law from Seoul National University, Korea in 1969. He entered the LG Electronics in 1974. He served as head of the regional division in the Central and South America in 1992, head of the Cooking Appliance Division in 1994, and Vice President of LGE India in 1997. He has been serving as President of LGE India since 1999. As President of LGE India, he manages overall matters in the region. In particular, he oversees production and sales in LGE New Delhi and software development in LGE Bangalore. He also manages the overall business for the LG Group in India including LGE, LG Engineering and Construction, LG International, and regional subsidiaries. In terms of major achievements, he successfully led the early localization of R&D, production and sales. He achieved global management to allow LGE products to sell at higher prices compared to any other competitor’s, thus helping boost Korea’s image. LGE India is expected to post USD one billion in sales this year. It is also pushing to have LGE New Delhi and LGE Software listed on the India stock market. Particularly, he became the toast of the major India press media for aggressively investing in the local market five times more than competitor and contributing to the local economy. He enjoys playing tennis and golf, and has interest in meditation, religion study and oriental philosophy. |

| Dr. Yoshinori Iizuka Dr. Yoshinori Iizuka is a professor at the School of Engineering, University of Tokyo. His research has focused on quality management, including TQM, ISO 9000, new products development, software quality, system analysis/design, and statistical methods. He was leader of the TQM Committee, which published a booklet “Manifesto of TQM” in 1996. He also leads a group that has developed a new QMS model “Sustainable Growth” (JIS/TR Q 0005/0006). He has been involved in ISO 9000 since joining the Japanese National Committee for TC176 in 1982 and has been participating in TC176 meetings since 1985. He has dedicated himself to the year 2000 revision of ISO 9000s as a member of SC2/WG18/POTG (Planning and Operations Task Group). He is also a member of TC176/CSAG (Chair's Strategic Advisory Group). Dr. Yoshinori Iizuka is the President Japanese Society for Quality Control (JSQC) for Nov. 2003 – Oct. 2005. He is a Member of Deming Prize Committee and is also the leader of the Japanese delegation for ISO/TC176, and chair, QMS Accreditation Committee of JAB (Japan Accreditation Board). He has authored many papers and books on quality management. | Surinder Kapur Dr. Surinder Kapur is a Post Graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University, USA. He has over 30 years of experience in automotive components manufacturing. Dr. Surinder Kapur is the Chairman and Managing Director at Sona-Koyo Steering Systems Ltd., a joint venture Company of Koyo Seiko Co., Ltd. of Japan. Besides this, he also holds the Directorship of other Companies like – Sona Okegawa Precision Forgings Ltd., Sona Somic Lemforder Components Ltd., Sona Cold Forgings Ltd., Mahindra Sona Ltd., Asahi India Glass Ltd., Cosmo Films Ltd., Greaves Limited and Goetze India Ltd. Dr. Kapur also holds the post of Chairman of TPM Club India. Dr. Kapur also holds the post of Past President at ACMA ( 1992 – 1993 ) and Past Chairman at CII - Northern Region ( 1993 – 1994 ) , CII – Industrial Relations Committee ( 1993 – 1995 ), CII – Japan Committee ( 1994 – 1996 ), CII – Education Committee ( 1998 – 2000 ), YPO – India Chapter ( 1985 – 1986 ) . | Venu Srinivasan Mr. Venu Srinivasan has been the Chairman & Managing Director of TVS Motor Company (formerly TVS-Suzuki) since July 2002. He is also a Director of TVS & Sons and its subsidiaries – Lucas-TVS, Sundaram Fasteners and Cummins (India). He is a Member, Board of Governors, Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and the Honorary Consul-General of the Republic of Korea, in Chennai. Mr Srinivasan has been awarded the HSBC Indo-British Achievement Award, in recognition of his active contribution to Indo-British commercial relations. He was chosen as a “Star of Asia” by Business Week International, along with the Chairman of Toyota, Japan. He was the first Indian industrialist to be conferred an honorary doctorate in science by the University of Warwick, U.K., for excellence in manufacturing and contribution in the fields of technology and R& D. | Vinod Singhal Prof Vinod Singhal is a Professor of Operations Management at the College of Management at Georgia Institute of Technology and Associate Director for the Center for Paper Business and Industry Studies, an industry center funded by the Sloan Foundation. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Rochester in 1988. Prior to joining Georgia Tech in 1989, he worked for three years as a Senior Research Scientist at General Motors Research Labs. Professor Singhal's teaching and research interests include operations strategy, total quality management, supply chain management, and measuring manufacturing performance in high technology firms. He has served on the Board of Examiners of the Georgia Oglethorpe Award, and Bell South’s President Quality Award, and the Baldrige Board of Examiners. He is frequent presenter at various academic and practitioner conferences. |
