| 0900 hrs | Sightseeing tour of Udaipur City Palace, a majestic architectural marvel which is perched on a hill and towers over Lake Pichola. The Palace is a majestic conglomeration of courtyards, pavilions, terraces, corridors, rooms and hanging gardens. Each palace within is an outstanding creation of art. Bharatiya Lok Kala Museum, which has an interesting collection of Indian folk art including costumes, ornaments, puppets, masks, dolls, musical instruments and deities. Saheliyon ki bari - A ”Ladies Garden”, with rich foliage and intricately designed fountains. |
| 1500 hrs | Late afternoon excursion by boat to Lake Pichola Excursion to Lake Pichola Enjoy a boat ride on Lake Pichola on which the majestic Lake Palace Hotel is situated. See the ghats along the lake and the interesting buildings on the banks. The view of the city palace from the lake is spectacular. visiting Ranakpur enroute Ranakpur In a quiet and picturesque glen which runs into the western slopes of the Aravalli hills, lies the remarkable 15th century Jain temple at Ranakpur. Though over 500 years old, the temple is superbly preserved in a near-perfect condition. In the centre is the main ” Chaumukha temple” dedicated to Adinath. The most distinctive features are the 29 halls supported by 1444 pillars of which no two are exactly alike. Every conceivable surface is carved and every corner and angle Is engraved with Jain images. |
| 1600 hrs | Arrive Jodhpur and proceed for a sightseeing tour of Jodhpur JODHPUR At the edge of the Thar Desert, the imperial city of Jodhpur echoes with tales of antiquity in the emptiness of the desert. The massive 15th century AD Mehrangarh Fort looms on the top of a rocky hill, soaring 125 mts. above the plains. A high wall encompasses the city - 10 km long with 8 gates and innumerable bastions. The lifestyle in Jodhpur is unusually fascinating with people wearing lovely multi hued costumes, artistically designed. Shopping in Jodhpur bazaars is a heady experience with a colourful display of the rich collection of exquisite handicrafts. The tie-and-dye fabric, embroidered “jutis” or slippers in suede, camel skin, velvet and leather, beautiful silks, durries, marble souvenirs from Makrana, an extensive range of useful and decorative items etc., are of interest. Sightseeing Tour of Jodhpur The Mehrangarh fort is one of the most impressive and formidable structures. Invincible from the outside, the fort has four gates approached by a winding road. Within the fort are some magnificent palaces with marvellously carved panels with latticed windows. These palaces house a fabulous collection of trappings of Indian royalty including a superb collection of palanquins, elephant howdahs, miniature paintings of various schools, musical instruments, costumes and furniture. |

| 0900 hrs | Morning: Excursion to Amber Fort – Ride an elephant to ascend the
hill on which the Fort is situated. Excursion to Amber Fort Drive past the Hawa Mahal, known popularly as the Palace of Winds, which is just a facade built for the Ladies of the Royal household in the 19th century. The Amber Fort, the capital of the erstwhile state of Jaipur until 1728 is perched on a hill. It has halls of Public and Private audience, a Sheesh Mahal (hall of mirrors) various marble palaces which are marvelous examples of ancient Rajput architecture. Visit the Temple of Amba (Mother Goddess), the patron deity of the Royal family is at the entrance to the palace. Ride an elephant to ascend the hill on which the Fort is situated. Afternoon: Visit the City Palace and Jantar Mantar The City Palace - the former royal residence built in a blend of the Rajasthani and Mughal styles. It now houses a museum with a superb collection of Rajasthani costumes, an armoury of the Mughals and Rajputs with weapons of arms, an art gallery with an excellent collection of miniature paintings, carpets, royal paraphernalia and rare astronomical works in Arabic, Persian, Latin and Sanskrit. The Jantar Mantar - an astrological and astronomical Observatory built by Maharaja Jai Singh in 18th century, which is remarkable for its accuracy of the instruments even in the present times. | 0800 hrs | Leave Jaipur for Agra visiting Fatehpur Sikri enroute (232 kms / 6
hours) Fatehpur Sikri This exquisite city built by Akbar the Great in 1569, in red sandstone, with its forts, palaces and mosques was abandoned 14 years after its creation due to political reasons. The Diwan-i-am - a vast courtyard in which the emperor gave daily public audience; Diwan-i-khas - a large quadrangle which contained all the major functions of the Palace, Pachisi court, the Emperors private living quarter, Jodha Bhai’s Palace, Mariam’s Palace, Birbal’s Palace, Hawa Mahal and Panch Mahal are some of the important buildings of this residential complex. The Friday Mosque and the exquisite tomb of Sheikh Salim Chisti are in the religious grounds set aside in a separate enclosure adjacent to the secular buildings. |
| 1400 hrs | Arrive Agra and Check in at Hotel Agra Agra is famous as the home to one of the Seven Wonders of the World - the Taj Mahal. The architectural splendour of the mausoleums, the fort and the palaces in Agra is a vivid reminder of the opulence of the legendary Mughal empire. Agra was their capital for nearly a hundred years from 1564. A pleasant town, with a comparatively easy pace, Agra is known for its superb inlay work on marble and soapstone by artisans who are hereditary crafts persons. The city is also famous for its carpets, gold thread embroidery and leather shoes. |
| 1430 hrs | Afternoon: City tour of Taj Mahal and Agra Fort The Taj Mahal - the inimitable poem in white marble. It was built over a period of 22 years (1631-1653), using a workforce of 22000 people, by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan for his Queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. [The Taj is closed on Fridays] Visit the Agra Fort, built by three Mughal Emperors starting from Akbar the Great in 1565 AD,. The fort is a masterpiece of design and construction. Within the fort are a number of exquisite buildings including the Moti Masjid, Jahangir’s Palace, Khaas Mahal and the Sheesh Mahal, Diwan-i-Am, Diwan-i-Khas and Musamman Burj, the Octagonal Tower, where Emperor Shah Jahan, the builder of the Taj Mahal was imprisoned by his son Aurangazeb for seven long years and died a prisoner. The rates include the following specific services:
- Meeting and assistance upon arrival and departure by INDEBO representative.
- Transfers from airports to hotels & vice -versa by air-conditioned Indian Car with the transfer of baggage (2 pieces per person)
- Hotel accommodation in the hotels mentioned or similar based on sharing a double or a twin-bedded room with attached bath for a total of 06 Nights, based on Room + Breakfast basis (CP) as per the itinerary. This includes presently applicable Government taxes, which are subject to change. Check in and check out time at all hotels is 12 noon unless otherwise specified
- Sightseeing and excursions by air-conditioned Large Indian Car, with a Local English Speaking Guide as per the itinerary.
- Inter-city transportation by air-conditioned Large Indian Car, as per the itinerary
- Elephant ride at Amber fort in Jaipur
- Regular Boat Excursion on Lake Pichola in Udaipur
- Professional and service charges for preparation and operation of the tour program.
The rates include only the services listed above and those mentioned in the
enclosed itinerary.
The rates do not include:
- Items of a personal nature such as cost of telephone calls and telegrams, table drinks, laundry, tips etc.
- Any international air fares, visa charges, airport taxes on departure.
- Currently applicable entrance fees to places of visit as per the itinerary
- Air tickets for travel over domestic sectors can be provided if desired and charged for at cost on the date of issue.
We suggest that clients should be covered by Travel, medical, health and
other types of insurance. These cannot be obtained in India.
Liability:
The above quotations are subject to amendment should the Transporters/
Hoteliers amend their rates prior to commencement of the tour INDEBO (INDIA)
PVT LTD, while undertaking tours, transportation, hotel accommodation and
other services only act as an agent on the clear understanding that they
shall not be, in any way responsible or liable for any accident, damage,
loss, delay or inconvenience caused in connection with the travel facilities
arranged by the Company, its employees or agents. All bookings are accepted
and executed with utmost care, yet no responsibility is undertaken for any
change or deviation on account of factors beyond control.
