Quality circle competition was organised on 14/4/17. In spite of holiday in most of the organisation on the day (14th April) eleven teams participated in the completion. Teams were from manufacturing as well as from service sector. All the teams were given fifteen minutes time to present their case study with the help of Power Point Presentation. Presentations were judged by a panel of three independent judges. All the case studies were excellent however as per the format teams were rated in three categories i.e. Gold, Silver and Bronze and awarded trophy.

Conference was addressed by experts and practitioner of Quality Management from India as well as from overseas. Dr. Noriaki Kano, Professor Emeritus, Tokyo University of Science and one of the top Gurus of TQM—a living legend—delivered the keynote address. Mr Rohit Saboo of National Engineering Industries, winner of Deming grand Prize and JIPMTPM Excellence Award was awarded the coveted Ashoka Award. Very accomplished professionals from industry such as Mr G. Sunderraman ( Godrej & Boyce) Mr Jitendra Agrawal (HDFC Life Insurance) Mr N. Ramanathan (SRF) and Mr Rajinder Singh ( Mahindra and Mahindra) shared their success stories and enlightened the audience.

Methodology was through presentation, course and case studies.
Participants were provided with an over view of TQM and its co relation with concept of problem solving, Need for the team approach, Art and Technique of discovering problem and use of Q.C.Tools and Techniques for problem solving.

ISQ was celebrating birth centenary year of Prof. Ishikawa from 13th July 2015 to 12 th July 2016. Theme for the year and for the conference was “ Excellence: The Ishikawa Way”.12th Annual Conference was held on 11/12/15 at Crowne Plaza Hotel, Gurgaon.

To address the conference we could not have any one better than Prof. Narioki Kano, a disciple of Prof. Ishikawa, who has served in leadership roles as a Board Member of the Union of Japanese Scientists and Engineers(JUSE) and has been a chair person on the international and Japanese Quality Bodies like JUSE, AOTS, ANQ and many more. He is recipient of the Deming Prize for individuals (1997) among a long list of many other prestigious awards.

In addition to Prof. Kano other experts and quality practitioners i.e. Mr Janak Mehta Chairman (TQMI), Mr Ashok Sharam ( President Mahindra and Mahindra) Mr Ramanathan (Advisor TQM SRF) Mr. Kulbhushan Gupta ( Head- Innovation and Service Delivery, MAX Life insurance company) and Mr Amit J.Sharma ( DGM- Process Excellence of Indus Tower) addressed and shared their valuable experience.
Mr Ashok Sharma of Mahindra and Mahindra, was awarded the coveted Ashoka Award.
